Podcast #11: The Big Q&A Episode on Consistency, Increasing Motivation, and More

When I started running, I had a million questions – most of them about those weird looking short shorts.

As you can see, now I embrace them:

But seriously, most beginners do have a ton of questions. Running is a simple sport, but simple doesn’t mean easy.

And the questions can start to pile on the more you learn about running:

  • Should I focus on heart rate or pace? What about zone training?
  • How do I get better at trail running?
  • What can I do to improve my motivation to run more consistently?
  • Is a 3 mile run too long to start with if I haven’t run in a year?

I know it can be confusing. So I’m constantly searching for ways to make myself available to answer all of your questions.

On Twitter, I answer every tweet I receive.

If you email me, then I will respond (nobody is in my inbox except me).

Last week, I replied to comments about your toughest challenge in 2017.

And today is no different.

I’m excited to introduce a new podcast format – a big Q&A episode where I’ve taken questions from around the web and answered them for you.

We’re focusing mostly on questions from new runners or those who haven’t ran in quite awhile. If you’re a beginner, don’t miss it.

I’m also putting together training material especially for new runners. If that’s you, sign up here to be notified when it’s ready!

Episode #11 – The Big Q&A Episode

The latest episode of The Strength Running podcast features your questions!

I’m diving into some hot topics like trail running, pacing, motivation, and consistency. I hope you enjoy the episode and a big thanks to all whose questions were featured.

During the show, I mentioned a bonus podcast that will be available to new runners who want more beginner-oriented training advice.

It’s almost ready and you can get it here as soon as it’s available.

Have a question that wasn’t answered? Feel free to leave it in the comments below and I’ll answer it for you.
