Cue the confetti and balloons… I’m thrilled to announce that my newest book is finally here!
Running for Health & Happiness: The Beginner’s Guide to Faster, Pain-Free Running is the culmination of years of coaching and decades of training.
I’m really excited about it (can you tell?) because it’s accessible – no science jargon, no woo-woo weirdness – just actionable, simple training advice that will improve your running.
Plus, I’m offering a sweet giveaway that you won’t want to miss (more on that below).
It’s more thorough than my shorter book (it’s nearly three times as long) and includes web-only resources that you can access straight fromthe book – like my best strength routines, dynamic exercises, and weight loss advice.
Each chapter dives into a broad topic, but only covers the necessary information you need – with none of the fluff you don’t.
Here’s the chapter list:
- Getting Started
- Build the Habit and Stay Motivated
- Training Basics: Workouts, Mileage, and More
- Injury Prevention and Recovery
- Strength Training
- Cross-Training
- Racing
- Common Mistakes, Problems, and Solutions
- What’s next?
- Additional Resources
The content of the book is a combination of existing articles on SR and new material. Everything has been updated, revised, and organized to make it easier to read.
If you’re looking for the “Best Of Strength Running” then this is it. You’ll get my top coaching advice on nearly every subject you can think of all in one place.
I’d love for you to check it out here on Amazon – or, get it as an instant PDF download if you don’t own a Kindle.
Who wants to win a free coaching program?
To celebrate the launch of the new book, I’m going to give away some free stuff. What runner doesn’t love that?
Here’s what you can win: your choice of the Full Access Injury Prevention for Runners or a custom training plan.
These programs have helped thousands of runners – just see what others have said here and here.
All you have to do is buy the book and leave an honest review on Amazon (reviews are really important so I appreciate it!). Then, email me by Sunday, 8/30 and let me know you left your review (if you get the PDF version, you can still leave a review on Amazon).
I’m going to randomly choose TEN winners so you have a great chance of a free program 🙂
I can’t wait to help you with your running and choose the giveaway winners!
Thank YOU
Before I finish up today I want to thank you. Yes, you! If you’re reading this, I appreciate you being a member of the SR community. You’re awesome.
Publishing articles, videos, and all of the other free original content here eats up an enormous amount of my time. Q&A with Coach is a huge time investment for me. And some posts (like Tomahawk, Mattock, or the Track infographic post) take 8-10 hours to complete or cost hundreds of dollars in development and design costs.
But I love doing it because I love seeing runners improve.
I’ve been here since 2010 and I’ll be here in 2020 – continuing to help you run faster, stay healthy, and improve your training.
I hope you’ve enjoyed all of the free coaching material I’ve published over the last five years. And I can’t wait to show you what’s in store over the next five years!
I’ll end this before I start getting too emotional over here…
Thanks again for reading. And of course, checking out the book 🙂
Any questions? Don’t hesitate to shoot me an email.
Run strong,
– Jason.
